Import Officer – Manage Import Documentation & Logistics

About the role

STAR Dyes is seeking a detail‑oriented Import Officer to manage all import activities, ensure customs compliance and coordinate logistics for timely delivery of goods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file import documentation such as customs declarations, bills of lading and invoices.
• Coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders to secure timely clearance.
• Monitor shipment schedules, track deliveries and resolve any delays or discrepancies.
• Work with supply‑chain and inventory teams to receive, inspect and record imported goods.
• Maintain accurate records of import transactions for audit and reporting.
• Reconcile import costs and support accounting with expense documentation.
• Identify and propose improvements to streamline import procedures and reduce costs.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of experience in import operations or related logistics role.
• Strong understanding of customs regulations, tariffs and trade compliance.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills across internal and external partners.
• Proactive attitude with ability to stay updated on regulatory changes.
