Import Sea Freight Operations Executive

About the role

The company is an international freight forwarding and logistics provider operating across Pakistan and Central Asia. We are seeking a Senior Executive to manage sea‑freight import operations, from rate collection to customer invoicing, ensuring smooth end‑to‑end shipment handling.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and maintain updated freight rates from shipping lines, forwarders, transporters and vendors.
• Prepare cost sheets, competitive quotations and support pricing for sea‑freight, inland and cross‑border transport.
• Handle customer enquiries, follow‑up quotations and assist with booking conversion.
• Coordinate shipments with shipping lines, overseas agents, customs agents and port‑handling vendors.
• Monitor shipment progress from booking through customs clearance to final delivery and provide status updates to customers.
• Verify vendor invoices against approved rates, resolve billing discrepancies and support customer invoicing.
• Maintain accurate operational, costing and billing records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics, specifically sea‑freight import operations in Karachi.
• Hands‑on knowledge of FCL/LCL shipments, Bills of Lading, import documentation and customs clearance.
• Experience dealing with shipping lines, forwarders, transporters or agents.
• Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail and good command of English and Urdu.
