Interview Engineer – Remote Contract

About the role

Karat is looking for experienced software engineers to join its Interview Engineer community on a remote contract basis. As an Interview Engineer you will facilitate technical interviews, evaluate candidate performance, and help improve hiring processes for developers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct live technical interviews through Karat’s platform, ensuring a smooth and inclusive candidate experience.
• Assess coding skills, problem‑solving approach, communication, and overall technical knowledge.
• Provide detailed feedback and performance summaries to hiring teams.
• Collaborate with Karat to test interview content, refine processes, and contribute to product improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a software developer or engineer.
• Excellent written and spoken English with professional interpersonal skills.
• Reliable webcam, microphone, and stable internet connection.
• Prior experience conducting technical interviews (e.g., data structures, algorithms) is a plus.
