About the role

The IT Solution Architect designs and improves PLM (Product Life Cycle) and related engineering application solutions for product data and project lifecycle processes. The role supports Arena PLM and enables secure, reliable and efficient collaboration across engineering, product, quality, operations and project teams, within approved business and technology strategies. It is a senior technical and functional position that contributes to the PLM and engineering applications roadmap and applies established architectural standards.

Key responsibilities

• Apply architectural standards and recommend PLM patterns, roles, permissions, workflows and practices.
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues to align architecture with business, technical, quality and operational needs.
• Support item, BOM, document control, change management, approval, release and project lifecycle processes, ensuring consistent and traceable product and engineering data.
• Analyse and document PLM data flows and integration requirements across ERP, CAD/EDA, manufacturing/fab exchange, quality, document management and reporting platforms.
• Document and recommend source-of-truth, data ownership, lifecycle status, business rules and handover approaches, coordinating implementation with technical teams.
• Bridge IT, engineering, product, quality, operations, project teams and external vendors; run design reviews, facilitate workshops and communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Be accountable for the technical quality and production readiness of assigned PLM solutions, and coordinate their development and implementation.
