IT Specialist – Frontline Support & Infrastructure

About the role

The Universal Service Fund (USF) Pakistan is seeking an IT Specialist to provide frontline support and manage the organization’s IT infrastructure. This mid‑level position reports to the Director IT & Network and involves a mix of user support, server administration, networking, and data‑center operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily frontline IT support, log tickets and resolve hardware/software issues.
• Install and configure computers, printers, telephone exchange and other IT equipment.
• Administer Windows Server 2022, Active Directory, file servers and Office 365.
• Manage data‑center hardware, environmental systems and SAN storage.
• Maintain file‑server backups and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Upgrade Hyper‑V virtual machines and oversee virtualization environment.
• Configure wireless controllers, access points and support network troubleshooting.
• Support antivirus, endpoint security and overall cybersecurity measures.
• Assist with IT asset management, procurement technical evaluations and documentation.
• Maintain surveillance cameras, NVR systems and support online meetings via Teams and Zoom.
• Troubleshoot ERP‑related technical issues and perform other tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science (or related field).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant IT experience covering support, Windows Server, AD, Office 365, LAN/WAN and multi‑OS troubleshooting.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, macOS and CentOS environments.
• Preferred certifications: CCNA, ITIL, MCSE (not mandatory).
