IT Support Officer (Entry Level)

About the role

We are seeking an IT Support Officer to assist in maintaining and supporting the IT infrastructure of our production units in Sialkot. This entry‑level position is ideal for recent graduates with basic IT knowledge who are eager to learn in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and support firewalls, WiFi access points, LAN and WAN connectivity to maintain 99.9% network uptime.
• Assist with basic VLAN, subnetting and VPN configurations and report ISP link issues.
• Perform routine checks on Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP) and Linux servers, and troubleshoot hardware/software issues on production terminals, barcode printers and floor PCs.
• Support Active Directory user and permission management and review firewall logs for anomalies.
• Help implement backup and recovery procedures for production data and assist with ERP client issue resolution on the shop floor.
• Respond to IT tickets (printers, scanners, machine connectivity) and maintain an inventory of IT assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field (BCS mandatory).
• 0–1 year of experience (internships or fresh graduates welcome).
• Willingness to learn, teamwork and ability to work under supervision.

Required skills

• Understanding of TCP/IP, LAN, WiFi and basic firewall concepts.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP) and Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS).
• Experience with VLAN, subnetting and VPN configuration.
• Hardware and software troubleshooting, including printers and production PCs.
• Familiarity with ERP client modules (inventory, production) and backup/recovery procedures.
