IT System Administrator

About the role

Join the internal firm services IT team at PwC Karachi as an IT System Administrator. You will support core business functions by deploying, managing and securing Windows and Azure environments, enabling staff to work efficiently and deliver high‑quality services to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server platforms (2019/2022/2025) and manage Active Directory objects, GPOs, and OU structures.
• Configure and maintain file/print services, NTFS permissions and baseline security hardening.
• Provision, monitor and scale Azure virtual machines, storage accounts, VNets and NSGs.
• Implement Azure AD (Microsoft Entra ID) users, groups, app registrations and conditional access policies.
• Execute patch management, SCCM updates and vulnerability remediation.
• Perform backup, restore and system‑state recovery operations.
• Monitor logs, Event Viewer, Azure Monitor and Log Analytics; respond to incidents following ITIL processes.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell scripting and support ServiceNow ticketing workflows.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with proven experience in Windows Server and Azure administration.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across networking, security and system services.
• Familiarity with ITIL incident and change management concepts.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced professional services environment.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with business users and technical teams.
