Junior Merchandiser

About the role

Mohtaram, a premium menswear and lifestyle brand, is seeking a highly organized Junior Merchandiser. You will act as the bridge between the creative design team and production, ensuring raw materials are sourced efficiently and timelines are met while upholding the brand’s high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing high‑quality fabrics, trims and hardware according to seasonal design specifications.
• Build and maintain relationships with local suppliers, artisans and manufacturers.
• Request, organize and catalogue fabric swatches and material samples for the design team.
• Support pricing negotiations and MOQ alignment with budget targets.
• Prepare and distribute accurate tech packs and purchase orders to vendors.
• Track sample lifecycle from prototype to final approval, ensuring construction notes and fit corrections are applied.
• Maintain up‑to‑date material and trim inventory logs for upcoming collections.
• Monitor daily production schedules and flag any delays or quality issues.
• Conduct basic quality assurance checks on incoming samples and finished goods.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in fashion merchandising, sourcing or apparel production (internships count).
• Fundamental understanding of garment construction, textiles and manufacturing processes.
• Strong organizational ability to track multiple orders and timelines simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising between internal teams and external vendors.
• Attention to detail and genuine appreciation for high‑quality menswear.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for inventory and production tracking.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets for collaborative data management.
