Junior Procurement Officer – Construction (US Projects)

About the role

We are a Houston‑based general contractor looking for a detail‑oriented Junior Procurement Officer to support our US construction projects from our Lahore office. You will work night shifts, creating purchase orders, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring materials meet project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Create accurate purchase orders based on project requirements.
• Prepare and submit submittals to architects according to specifications.
• Search for, evaluate, and onboard new vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with project and technical teams to document material, equipment, and service needs.
• Maintain and regularly update a supplier database and conduct performance evaluations.
• Draft clear RFPs/RFQs, assist in negotiations, and manage procurement agreements.
• Monitor order status, follow up on deliveries, and resolve discrepancies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of relevant experience in construction procurement.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Basic understanding of GC & MEP trade procurement.
• Strong communication, organizational, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
