Junior Restaurant Accountant (Karachi)

About the role

The Junior Restaurant Accountant will support the financial operations of a restaurant branch in Karachi. You will be responsible for daily transaction entry, sales reconciliation, expense recording, and cash‑flow monitoring, ensuring the branch’s books are accurate and audit‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Enter all daily financial transactions into the accounting system.
• Perform daily sales reconciliation by matching POS records with cash, card and online receipts.
• Validate revenue reports and ensure correct deposit records.
• Monitor petty‑cash usage and prevent discrepancies.
• Record operational expenses and maintain organized invoice and voucher documentation.
• Coordinate with store staff to obtain stock consumption data and assist with monthly inventory counts.
• Track food‑cost percentages and report significant variances.
• Prepare weekly and monthly expense summaries and financial reports for the branch.
• Support the Senior Accountant during month‑end closing and manage bank transactions, including fund transfers and salary disbursements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in restaurant, hotel or retail environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills and high integrity.
