Junior Software Engineer

About the role

SmartPropFirm is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join its product and engineering team. You will help build and maintain enterprise‑grade tools for prop traders, including dashboards, rewards systems and marketplace features.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and improve features across the web platform.
• Work on trading‑related tools, dashboards, rewards and marketplace systems.
• Write clean, maintainable and scalable code for both frontend and backend components.
• Fix bugs, optimise performance and polish user‑facing features.
• Leverage AI development tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) for research, debugging and code improvement.
• Test your work thoroughly before code review.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and learn quickly in a fast‑moving environment.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong grasp of core programming concepts and software fundamentals.
• Good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks, preferably React.
• Basic understanding of backend concepts such as APIs, databases and authentication flows.
• Ability to read and contribute to an existing codebase.
• Problem‑solving mindset, attention to detail and clear communication skills.
• Comfortable using Git (branches, merge requests, code reviews).
• Experience with AI‑assisted development tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, etc.).
