Junior Tax Associate

About the role

Riaz Ahmed, Saqib, Gohar & Co. (RASG) is a reputable chartered accountancy firm in Pakistan. We are looking for a Junior Tax Associate to support our Taxation Department with compliance, research, and documentation tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and filing Income Tax, Sales Tax, and other statutory returns.
• Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations, and working papers.
• Conduct basic research on tax laws, regulations, and notifications.
• Draft tax notices, replies, applications, and related correspondence.
• Support senior team members during tax audits and assessments.
• Coordinate with clients to gather required information and documentation.
• Maintain proper records and ensure timely completion of assignments.

Required profile

• Basic working knowledge of Pakistan taxation, including Income Tax and Sales Tax.
• Understanding of tax compliance, documentation, and statutory deadlines.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and research abilities with attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and work effectively in a professional team environment.
