Lab Analyst

About the role

The Lab Analyst will ensure quality compliance of products and materials throughout testing stages, meeting regulatory, GMP and GLP requirements. The role supports product validation programs and coordinates GMP compliance across the laboratory.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and analyse samples of finished product, intermediates, raw materials, stability and trace/CLV to enable timely release.
• Perform routine and non‑routine testing, interpret results and escalate OOS/OOT in line with GMP and site procedures.
• Support the Stability Programme by ensuring on‑time testing, data review and record maintenance.
• Maintain inventory, handling, labelling and disposition of reference standards and control materials, including expiry management.
• Adhere strictly to GMP, GLP and laboratory safety; participate in EHS activities and risk assessments.
• Contribute to testing of new products and development samples, including method verification/validation.
• Deliver mandatory OJT/GMP training and maintain personal training compliance.
• Assist in preparation, review and revision of SOPs, testing standards and methods.
• Use LIMS, SAP and instrument software for data entry, reporting and instrument operation.
• Manage destruction of analysed product materials and hazardous chemical waste according to EHS and GMP requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in applied chemistry, chemistry, industrial chemistry or a related discipline.
• 1‑2 years experience in a pharmaceutical QC laboratory or similar regulated environment.
• Fundamental understanding of pharmaceutical quality control, analytical techniques and GMP/GLP principles.
• Hands‑on experience with analytical instruments and stability/validation testing.
• Familiarity with EHS requirements for laboratory operations and hazardous waste management.
• Proficiency in standard computer applications and willingness to learn LIMS/SAP and instrument software.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
