Lab Engineer – Civil Engineering

About the role

The Wah Engineering College is seeking a full‑time Lab Engineer to manage its Civil Engineering laboratories. You will ensure that the labs are safe, well‑maintained, and support the academic curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain civil engineering laboratory equipment and tools.
• Prepare and conduct lab sessions, assisting faculty and guiding students.
• Monitor compliance with laboratory safety protocols and enforce regulations.
• Collect, analyse, and document test data for materials, soil, and concrete.
• Support quality‑control procedures, including calibration, verification and documentation.
• Collaborate with academic staff on coursework, projects and continuous improvement of lab practices.
• Perform administrative duties related to lab scheduling, inventory and record‑keeping.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; laboratory or field experience preferred.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret experimental data and technical information.
• Knowledge of standard civil engineering testing methods and relevant codes.
• Ability to follow safety regulations, maintain accurate records and manage resources efficiently.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with students, faculty and technical staff.
