Laboratory Technician – Full-time (Peshawar)

About the role

The Pakistan Red Crescent Society is seeking a full‑time Laboratory Technician to work on‑site in Peshawar. The role involves performing routine and specialized laboratory tests, processing samples, and maintaining equipment in line with established protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare reagents and ensure proper sample collection, labeling, and processing.
• Conduct laboratory tests, record and interpret results, and report findings.
• Operate, calibrate, and perform basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
• Support quality control procedures to guarantee accurate and reliable outcomes.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment following infection‑prevention and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with medical and administrative staff and assist with reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
• Practical experience as a Laboratory Technician in a clinical, diagnostic, healthcare, humanitarian or public‑health setting.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with respect for diverse colleagues and communities.
