Lead Auditor - Food

About the role

The Lead Auditor – Food will conduct food safety audits for a variety of food products, ensuring compliance with national and international standards. This position operates under the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System and its Code of Ethics.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare audit plans and coordinate with clients according to the agenda provided by the Operational Backoffice.
• Conduct audits using the latest audit packs, checklists, forms, and tools.
• Maintain positive client relationships and address client inquiries promptly.
• Submit complete and accurate audit reports within established timelines.
• Address defects, concerns, and queries raised by reviewing channels in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain competency to conduct audits and create competency assessment packs.
• Stay updated on applicable laws, regulations, statutory requirements, and standards.

Required profile

• University degree in a food‑related discipline (e.g., food science, nutrition, agriculture, chemistry).
• Certification in food safety management systems (e.g., HACCP, HALAL, FSSC, GG, BRCGc; organic certification is a plus).
• 3‑4 years of experience in food or agricultural industries, quality assurance, food safety, auditing, or farm management.
• Familiarity with third‑party certification processes.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time, primarily overnight within Pakistan.
