Lead Business Analyst – Data Management & Analytics

About the role

The Lead Business Analyst – Data Management & Analytics bridges business requirements with data and technology delivery. You will drive data‑driven initiatives, translating needs into clear specifications, business rules, and actionable delivery plans while ensuring data quality, governance, and regulatory alignment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead requirement‑gathering workshops with stakeholders and translate outcomes into detailed Business Requirement Documents, functional specs, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze source systems, data flows, and define business rules, calculation logic, and validation criteria.
• Support data‑ownership, stewardship, metadata, and data‑governance activities, including Critical Data Elements definition.
• Collaborate with data engineers, solution architects, and developers to validate technical designs against business needs.
• Drive analytics and reporting initiatives, define KPI/KRI requirements, and support User Acceptance Testing.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Management, Data Analytics, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in highly regulated environments such as banking or financial services is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong SQL and data‑analysis capabilities.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT and data‑integration concepts.
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Familiarity with data‑governance platforms like Informatica Axon/EDC.
• Hands‑on experience with platforms such as Informatica, Cloudera, or Alteryx.
