Lead Network Engineer

About the role

The Lead Network Engineer will head the Data Center Network Operations (DC NetOps) team, acting as the senior technical authority for Stewart’s enterprise datacenter and cloud networking environments. This role ensures high‑availability, secure, and performant network services across multiple data centers and cloud platforms, supporting global business operations and acquisitions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day technical leadership and mentorship to the DC NetOps engineers.
• Serve as Tier‑3 escalation point for P1/P2 incidents, lead major outage troubleshooting and bridge calls.
• Design, implement and maintain datacenter routing, switching, wireless, load‑balancing and WAN connectivity.
• Manage network redundancy, failover, disaster‑recovery and performance monitoring.
• Oversee enterprise firewall platforms, vulnerability remediation, IPS/IDS, segmentation, NAC, remote access and zero‑trust initiatives.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for Azure and AWS networking architectures and guide cloud integration projects.
• Develop and maintain operational standards, runbooks, documentation and root‑cause analysis processes.
• Coordinate with Field NetOps, Cloud Operations, Security, Service Desk and NOC teams to drive automation and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise datacenter networking and cloud connectivity.
• Proven track record of leading technical teams and managing complex network projects.
• Strong incident management skills with experience handling high‑severity outages.
• Deep understanding of network security, compliance and risk mitigation.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
