Lead Software Engineer - Mobile Development (Crypto Wallets)

About the role

Tether is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to drive the development of high‑performance mobile applications that integrate crypto wallets and DeFi features. You will work remotely with a diverse team of senior backend developers, product managers, and leadership to deliver intuitive, lightweight solutions for a global audience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small group of React Native engineers, setting architectural direction and coding standards.
• Design and implement cutting‑edge mobile applications for crypto wallet and DeFi functionality.
• Collaborate with backend teams to build and integrate supporting services when needed.
• Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
• Ensure high performance, security, and usability across all mobile products.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading mobile engineering teams, preferably in fintech or blockchain.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote environment.
