Lecturer, Pharmacy Practice

About the role

The Women Institute of Learning and Rehabilitation Sciences (WILRS) seeks a full‑time Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice to join its Abbottabad campus. The role involves delivering lectures, tutorials and practical sessions, preparing course materials, and assessing student performance in line with institutional and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials and laboratory sessions in pharmacy practice.
• Prepare lesson plans, course outlines, assessment tools and learning resources.
• Mentor and advise students, supervise projects or clinical placements, and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings and quality‑assurance activities.
• Collaborate with faculty across pharmacy and related disciplines to enhance teaching and assessment.
• Engage in scholarly activities, professional development and research initiatives as appropriate.

Required profile

• Advanced academic qualification in pharmacy (Doctor of Pharmacy or Master’s in Pharmacy Practice or related field).
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy practice, clinical pharmacy, pharmacotherapy and relevant regulatory and ethical standards.
• Demonstrated or strong potential for teaching at the tertiary level, including lesson planning and student assessment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts to diverse learners.
• Commitment to gender‑sensitive, inclusive and learner‑centered pedagogy.
• Willingness to work collaboratively within academic teams and contribute to curriculum improvement.
