Legal Counsel

About the role

IDR is looking for a Legal Counsel to support its legal department by providing legal guidance, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and assisting global operations from a legal standpoint.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on contracts, employment matters, compliance, and corporate governance, with a focus on Pakistani employment and labor law.
• Draft, review, and revise contracts, agreements, NDAs, vendor agreements, and other legal documents to ensure alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
• Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations, maintain compliance policies, procedures, and internal documentation.
• Assist with corporate governance tasks, including maintaining legal records, preparing resolutions, and organizing corporate documentation.
• Conduct legal research and prepare summaries, reports, and legal opinions for internal use.
• Support employment and labor law matters, including reviewing employment agreements, policies, and HR-related documentation.
• Coordinate documentation and communication with external counsel for litigation and dispute matters, and prepare legal notices and responses.
• Assist in protecting the company’s intellectual property, such as trademarks, copyrights, and confidential information.
• Identify potential legal and compliance risks and escalate concerns to senior legal counsel.

Required profile

• Knowledge of Pakistani employment and labor law requirements.
• Ability to conduct legal research and prepare clear legal documentation.
