Legal Counsel

About the role

Nysonian Inc. is looking for a motivated Legal Counsel to provide legal support for its US‑focused operations while based in Islamabad. The role involves handling contracts, compliance, and corporate governance matters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, file and manage legal documents, contracts and reports in accordance with US law.
• Conduct legal research on US regulations and industry practices.
• Draft and proofread contracts, memos and other correspondence.
• Maintain legal records, case files and confidential materials.
• Track legal timelines, deadlines and compliance obligations.
• Coordinate communication between internal teams, external law firms and corporate departments.
• Assist with corporate governance tasks such as meeting minutes and board resolutions.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes in the US and Pakistan.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a legal counsel or in a legal administrative role for a US‑based company.
• Strong knowledge of US laws, regulations and legal systems.
• Experience with contracts, litigation, compliance and corporate governance.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficient written and verbal English communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with legal research and case‑management tools.
