Legal Expert (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Expert to support a leading technology company that operates micro‑tasking and freelance platforms. The role is fully remote and part‑time, offering flexible hours to review policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and advise on dispute resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and update terms of service, privacy policies and user agreements to meet local and international legal standards.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks related to data privacy, labor regulations and cross‑border transactions.
• Provide guidance on intellectual property issues and support the resolution of user disputes.
• Monitor changes in GDPR, CCPA and other relevant regulations affecting gig‑economy platforms.
• Collaborate with product and operations teams to translate legal requirements into practical solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in contract review and drafting for digital platforms.
• Strong knowledge of data‑privacy laws such as GDPR or CCPA.
• Familiarity with labor laws across multiple jurisdictions.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to explain complex legal concepts to non‑legal stakeholders.
