Legal Intern – Corporate & Maritime Law

About the role

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company is looking for a motivated Legal Intern to join its Legal Department in Karachi. This internship provides hands‑on exposure to corporate, commercial and maritime legal matters within a global shipping organization.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on applicable laws, regulations and case precedents.
• Assist in drafting, reviewing and organizing legal documents, agreements, notices and correspondence.
• Maintain records of legal cases, claims, contracts and regulatory filings.
• Prepare case summaries, legal opinions and reports for management review.
• Coordinate with internal departments to gather information and documentation for legal matters.
• Monitor legal deadlines and ensure accurate filing systems.
• Support compliance initiatives and policy reviews as assigned.
• Perform other administrative and legal support tasks as directed by the Legal Manager.

Required profile

• Final‑year LL.B. student or recent graduate from a recognized university.
• CGPA 3.0 or above.
• Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Eagerness to learn and work in a professional legal environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
