Library Assistant – Cataloguing & Digital Resources

About the role

We are seeking a Library Assistant to support the efficient management and organization of our library resources at Chughtai Healthcare. The role involves cataloguing, managing physical and digital collections, and assisting users in retrieving information.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in cataloguing and classification of library materials.
• Maintain and update library management systems.
• Coordinate acquisition, organization, and maintenance of digital documents and databases.
• Guide users in information retrieval and search techniques.
• Participate in collection development, recommending new acquisitions.
• Engage with vendors for procurement and negotiate terms.
• Conduct collection analysis to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Apply archival techniques to preserve valuable documents.
• Provide high‑quality customer service and resolve user inquiries.
• Collaborate with library and administrative staff to improve workflows.
• Prepare reports on library activities and resource utilization.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of experience in library science or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and vendors.
