M&A Analyst

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a buy‑side, technology‑focused corporate development team. You will work directly with senior M&A professionals at the Toronto headquarters, supporting the evaluation and acquisition of vertical‑market software companies.

Key responsibilities

• Support M&A deal evaluation (approximately 60% of time) by analysing financial and non‑financial information on potential acquisitions.
• Conduct operational, financial and market due diligence (about 30%).
• Lead data‑focused special projects (around 10%).
• Prepare investment summaries, valuation models and operational analyses for presentation to management and the Board.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong academic performance with a professional designation (ACCA, CA, CPA or CFA) obtained or near completion.
• Highly motivated interest in private equity, technology and finance.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Financial modeling and valuation.
