Management Trainee – Finance

About the role

The Management Trainee – Finance will receive structured, hands‑on exposure to core accounting and financial operations across a portfolio of software businesses. Working closely with the finance team, you will support day‑to‑day processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activities and month‑end close.

Key responsibilities

• Support AP, AR and GL activities, including journal entry preparation and month‑end close.
• Perform basic balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, schedules and audit documentation.
• Help track cash balances, collect data for budgeting/forecasting and conduct simple variance analysis under supervision.
• Participate in integration tasks for newly acquired companies, organizing and validating data.
• Identify simple process‑improvement opportunities and support automation or AI‑related initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience or internships.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and willingness to learn US GAAP.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Exposure to ERP systems (experience is an asset).
