Marathi Linguistic QA Specialist (Remote)

About the role

This hourly, remote contractor position focuses on leading quality assurance for Marathi AI training projects. You will review AI‑generated Marathi content, evaluate trainer work, and ensure all outputs meet strict linguistic and cultural standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated Marathi content and trainer/QA work against detailed project rubrics.
• Assess accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural appropriateness, meaning preservation, instruction‑following, and formatting.
• Provide precise written feedback in English and communicate updates to trainers and QA teams.
• Identify recurring quality issues, maintain documentation, and support onboarding of new contributors.
• Activate or re‑engage contributors who are not consistently delivering quality work.
• Maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding materials, and honeypot datasets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marathi, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in Marathi with strong reading and writing skills.
• Strong command of English for following guidelines and providing feedback.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Marathi writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, or annotation.
• Deep understanding of Marathi grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, register, regional variation, and cultural context.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs is strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Discord for team communication.
• Advanced use of Google Sheets and Google Docs for tracking and documentation.
• Familiarity with trackers, dashboards, and project‑management systems.
• Knowledge of AI training workflows, data annotation, large language models, and rubric‑based QA.
