Mechanical Team Lead – Maintenance & Workshop Management

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Team Lead to oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical production equipment. You will manage a workshop environment, drive preventive strategies, and ensure safety and efficiency across all mechanical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of conveyors, ovens, blowers, and packing machines.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions for mechanical failures.
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance, including vibration analysis, thermography, and lubrication management.
• Direct day‑to‑day workshop operations such as fabrication, precision milling, lathe machining, and welding.
• Design and manufacture custom components, and plan modifications to improve capacity, performance, and energy efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards through risk assessments and safety protocols.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, maintenance logs, and operational manuals.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to integrate mechanical systems into workflows.
• Lead cross‑functional troubleshooting of complex mechanical and electrical issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Extensive hands‑on experience maintaining and optimizing industrial machinery.
• Strong practical knowledge of workshop operations, including milling, lathe work, and welding (MIG, TIG, Stick).
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and machine control systems.
• Proven ability to implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
• Experience in the FMCG sector is highly preferred.
