Mechanical Technician – Generator (Field Service)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Technician specialized in generator systems to join our engineering and power solutions team in Karachi. The role involves on‑site mechanical repair, maintenance, and customer support for diesel generators and related power equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform field visits to provide service and technical support for generator installations and maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical faults, conduct repairs, and ensure proper functioning of diesel generators and associated equipment.
• Prepare detailed service reports, work orders, expense reports and timesheets for internal departments.
• Collaborate with the technical team to resolve issues, conduct root‑cause analysis and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, warranty contracts and installation documentation.
• Assist junior staff with complex technical problems and ensure high customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• DAE in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics.
• 3–7 years of experience in genset, power generation, industrial mechanical maintenance, diesel generator servicing, troubleshooting, field operations, and equipment commissioning.
• Strong ability to analyze technical problems and produce clear reports.
• Good communication skills for client demonstrations and coordination with management.
