About the role

The Medical Superintendent will lead both clinical and administrative functions at Hamdard Hospital, ensuring high‑quality patient care and efficient operations. Reporting to senior hospital leadership, the role combines strategic oversight with day‑to‑day management of medical, nursing and paramedical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all clinical and administrative activities to guarantee seamless service delivery.
• Ensure strict adherence to healthcare laws, regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Supervise, mentor and evaluate doctors, nurses and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve standard operating procedures and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with all hospital departments to optimise workflow and operational efficiency.
• Lead patient‑safety programmes, clinical governance and risk‑management activities.
• Plan and conduct internal and external clinical audits, and prepare for regulatory inspections.
• Utilise healthcare information management systems for data‑driven decision‑making.
• Manage emergency and crisis response using the incident command system framework.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive targeted improvement strategies.

Required profile

• MBBS degree from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing a hospital or similar healthcare facility as an Administrator/Medical Superintendent.
• Proven leadership ability in a multi‑disciplinary clinical environment.
