Mental Health Officer (Female) – Jhal Magsi

About the role

The Indus Hospital & Health Network is seeking a dedicated Female Mental Health Officer to join its Mental Health Program in Jhal Magsi, Pakistan. You will play a vital role in identifying and supporting individuals experiencing depression or anxiety at both facility and community levels.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct mass screening for depression and anxiety in health facilities and community settings.
• Provide lay counseling and emotional support to individuals who test positive.
• Maintain accurate records of client treatment progress and ensure strict confidentiality.
• Create a safe environment for clients to discuss personal issues.
• Offer counseling to family members when needed.
• Make home visits and conduct community mobilization activities for awareness‑raising.
• Collect data for research activities as required by the program.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 1‑2 years of relevant experience in mental health, community health, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, social science, or a comparable discipline with health‑related experience.
• Female candidates only.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work ethically.
