MEP Engineer

About the role

The MEP Engineer will ensure quality, health and safety, and compliance with international codes during MEP design, installation and inspection. Reporting to the Operations Manager/Team Leader, the role supports Bureau Veritas’ commitment to environmental protection and social responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Perform QA/QC visual inspections of MEP works, interpret results and produce weekly/monthly inspection reports.
• Carry out material conformity inspections, GAP analysis of MEP & firefighting systems, and third‑party FAT/SAT testing.
• Prepare snagging lists, follow up corrective actions and ensure compliance with local authority requirements (Civil Defence, LDA, municipalities).
• Conduct condition assessments, consultancy due‑diligence, and support commissioning of MEP equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in MEP design, QA/QC engineering or site supervision.
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Familiarity with international standards (BS, ASME, ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, IPC) and ability to select appropriate inspection techniques.
• Good understanding of electrical and fire safety audits and ability to work with local authority regulations.

• QA/QC inspection techniques, ITP, method statements, material submittals.
• FAT/SAT testing, GAP analysis, snagging and corrective action management.
• Use of ISO 9001 internal audit processes and quality management systems.
