National Nutrition Consultant (home based with travel)

About the role

The National Nutrition Consultant will support the Accelerated Action Plan (AAP) Secretariat in Sindh, providing technical guidance, implementation, monitoring and coordination of multisectoral nutrition activities across health, education, WASH and social protection sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the AAP Secretariat to guide, implement and monitor multisectoral nutrition interventions outlined in the 2025‑2026 Multiyear Work Plan.
• Strengthen governance, coordination mechanisms and capacity of provincial and divisional institutions for child nutrition, early childhood development and school health.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Health Science, Epidemiology, Child Development or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience (Master’s) or 5 years (Bachelor’s) in nutrition, child development, public health or related planning and management, preferably in a developing‑country context.
• Fluency in English, Urdu, Sindhi and other regional languages.

Required skills

• Experience in nutrition or public‑health programme development and multisectoral coordination.
• Knowledge of early childhood development, stunting reduction strategies and health‑social protection systems.
