Network Engineer – Tier 1/2/3 Support & NOC Operations

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier‑1/2/3 troubleshooting and support for escalated issues affecting data‑center, disaster‑recovery, regional hub and branch connectivity.
• Perform proactive monitoring of over 1,000 network devices using SolarWinds and PRTG, manage NMS/Syslog alerts and escalations.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software platform problems in complex, layered network environments.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching and VPN configurations, including WAN and multi‑homing architectures.
• Maintain and support wireless access controllers and access points.
• Operate within a 24 × 7 rotational NOC shift, following ITIL change‑management processes.
• Participate in technical project management activities and present project updates to business sponsors.

Required profile

• 3–4 years of experience with WAN protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), LAN/WLAN, Cisco Catalyst switches and Cisco ISR/ASR routers.
• Minimum BS degree in Computer/Electronics/Telecom and a valid CCNA certification; CCNP training preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to deliver project‑level presentations.
• Proven ability to work in large enterprise environments and follow ITIL best practices.

• Cisco IOS, Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco ISR/ASR routers.
• NG firewalls: Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet (FortiGate).
• VPN, ACL configuration and security best practices.
• Network monitoring tools: SolarWinds, PRTG, NMS/Syslog.
• ITIL change‑management processes.
