Node.js Developer

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time remote Node.js Developer to design, develop and maintain scalable back‑end services and APIs. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver new features, integrate front‑end components and ensure the performance and security of our web applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and server‑side logic using Node.js.
• Write clean, efficient code and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, optimise application performance.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers to integrate HTML, CSS and JavaScript components.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow software development best practices.
• Participate in team discussions to improve architecture and development workflows.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in back‑end web development with Node.js.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and working with modern JavaScript tooling.
• Familiarity with state‑management libraries such as Redux.js.
• Understanding of front‑end principles and ability to work with HTML, CSS and JavaScript frameworks.
• Knowledge of version control (Git), testing, debugging and code optimisation.
• Ability to design and use SQL or NoSQL databases, with attention to security, scalability and performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Effective communication skills and a commitment to continuous learning in a remote, distributed environment.
