Odoo Functional Consultant

About the role

Hysenra is looking for an experienced Odoo Functional Consultant with hands‑on technical/development knowledge to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who understands business processes, can communicate directly with clients, translate requirements into Odoo solutions, configure Odoo applications, and also has enough development experience to understand customizations, integrations, technical limitations, and implementation requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct requirement‑gathering sessions with clients and understand their business processes.
• Analyze client requirements and translate them into practical Odoo solutions.
• Configure and implement Odoo modules based on business requirements.
• Prepare functional specifications for custom development.
• Work closely with Odoo developers and clearly communicate technical requirements.
• Perform functional testing and validate custom modules developed by the technical team.
• Configure workflows, user permissions, approval processes, automated actions, email templates, and system settings.
• Assist with data migration, data mapping, imports, and validation.
• Conduct gap analysis between standard Odoo functionality and client requirements.
• Provide Odoo demonstrations and solution walkthroughs to clients.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and train client teams on Odoo.
• Prepare implementation documentation, user guides, process documentation, and functional specifications.
• Coordinate with developers during integrations with third‑party platforms, APIs, payment gateways, eCommerce systems, and other applications.
• Support existing Odoo clients after implementation and identify opportunities for further automation.

Required profile

• 2+ years of practical Odoo implementation or consulting experience.
• Strong understanding of Odoo functional configuration.
• Previous Odoo development or technical experience.
• Experience gathering and documenting client requirements.
• Ability to understand business processes and convert them into system workflows.
• Experience working directly with clients.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Ability to independently manage assigned implementations and client requirements.
• Experience preparing functional specifications for development teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ownership of assigned projects.
