Operation Theater Technician

About the role

The Operation Theater Technician supports surgical teams at Alkhidmat Hospital by preparing the operating room, instruments and equipment for each procedure. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures a safe, sterile environment and assists surgeons and nurses throughout operations.

Key responsibilities

• Sterilize, arrange and verify surgical instruments before each case.
• Check functionality of all operating‑room equipment and lighting systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and infection‑control standards in the theater.
• Monitor and replenish supplies, track usage and record equipment logs.
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during procedures as required.
• Report technical issues or safety concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Diploma or certification as an Operation Theater Technician or related allied health qualification.
• Knowledge of infection control, sterilization techniques and basic surgical instruments.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and keep accurate records.
• Experience in an operating‑room or hospital setting is highly beneficial.
