Operations Assistant Manager - Waste Management

About the role

Our client Daewoo Waste Management is seeking an Operations Assistant Manager for its waste management division in Jhang. The role involves overseeing daily operational activities, optimizing service delivery and coordinating a team of 25 staff members to ensure efficient and sustainable waste handling.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily operations of a 25‑person waste management team to meet operational targets.
• Develop, implement and monitor operational plans and project schedules in line with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to optimise resource utilisation and service quality.
• Monitor key performance indicators, identify process improvement opportunities and drive operational efficiency.
• Manage customer relationships, responding to inquiries, complaints and service requests promptly.
• Supervise waste collection, transportation and disposal activities ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
• Conduct team meetings, training sessions and performance evaluations to maintain high morale and professional growth.
• Prepare and present operational reports to senior management outlining progress, challenges and mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Public Administration or Business Administration.
• 2–3 years of experience in waste management or the public sector.
• Ability to travel locally using own conveyance.
• Strong project management, operational planning and customer relationship management skills.
• Experience leading a team of around 25 staff members.
