Pharmacy Manager (Pharmacist)

About the role

The Pharmacy Manager will lead all pharmacy operations, ensuring safe and compliant dispensing of medicines while delivering high‑quality customer service. This role combines regulatory oversight, inventory control, procurement, and staff supervision within a healthcare setting.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily pharmacy activities, ensuring compliance with DRAP regulations, pharmacy laws, and company SOPs.
• Accurately dispense prescriptions and counsel patients on dosage, usage, and side effects.
• Oversee sales staff and billing officers to maintain professional service standards.
• Manage storage conditions, monitor expiry dates, and conduct regular stock audits.
• Handle procurement of medicines, medical equipment, and related products, verifying invoices and maintaining transparent purchase records.
• Coordinate with suppliers, distributors, and healthcare representatives regarding stock availability.
• Address customer complaints and ensure excellent pharmacy service.
• Train pharmacy personnel on pharmaceutical knowledge, ethics, and SOP compliance.

Required profile

• Valid Degree in Pharmacy (Pharm‑D or B‑Pharmacy) from a recognized institution.
• Active registration with the Pharmacy Council.
• Minimum five years of experience in pharmacy management, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Strong knowledge of DRAP regulations, pharmacy laws, and controlled‑drug compliance.
• Proven experience in medicine procurement, inventory management, and supplier coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise pharmacy staff, sales teams, and billing operations.
• Leadership, communication, and problem‑solving capabilities.
