Power System Consultant

About the role

Join Siemens Smart Infrastructure as a Power System Consultant based in Karachi, supporting projects for the local market and the broader Middle East PTI business.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct power system studies including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash and harmonic analysis using PSS®SINCAL, Etap or equivalent tools.
• Perform power quality measurements and studies for industrial and utility customers.
• Prepare high‑quality reports documenting findings, recommendations and compliance with IEC, IEEE, ANSI and NEC standards.
• Support multiple projects concurrently while ensuring technical quality and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in power system planning, design or consultancy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PSS®SINCAL, Etap, PSSE or SIMARIS design software.
• Experience in load flow, short‑circuit, protection coordination, arc‑flash and harmonic analysis.
• Knowledge of power quality measurement techniques.
• Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NEC standards for low and medium voltage networks.
