Procurement Manager – Construction & Supply Chain

About the role

Zarrar & Co. is seeking a dedicated Procurement Manager to oversee and optimise procurement processes for construction projects, ensuring timely and cost‑effective sourcing of materials, machinery and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project budgets and timelines.
• Identify, evaluate and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Obtain quotations, conduct comparative analyses, negotiate prices and finalise purchasing terms.
• Manage purchase requisitions, orders and approvals in line with company policies.
• Monitor market trends to identify cost‑reduction opportunities without compromising quality.
• Coordinate with project teams, storekeepers and accounts to ensure material availability and timely payments.
• Maintain accurate records of quotations, purchase orders, invoices and supplier agreements.
• Track and evaluate supplier performance, addressing issues promptly.
• Prepare regular procurement status reports, cost analyses and performance assessments for management.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of procurement experience, preferably in construction or real‑estate development.
• Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Knowledge of contract management, negotiation, quality control and procurement analytics.
• Commitment to ethical procurement practices and compliance with company policies.
