About the role
The Procurement Officer will support UNDP Pakistan’s Flood Recovery Programme, reporting to the CO Procurement Specialist and working closely with the FRP Operations Specialist and project teams to resolve complex procurement issues.
Key responsibilities
- Provide continuous coaching and support to staff on developing TORs for consultancies, research and technical services.
- Conduct research and market analysis to assist units in preparing specifications for goods and assets.
- Review and ensure quality assurance of TORs and specifications before procurement initiation.
- Ensure full compliance with UN/UNDP procurement rules, internal controls and client‑oriented procurement management.
- Develop and implement cost‑saving and reduction strategies in consultation with office management.
- Organise procurement processes including preparation and conduct of RFQs, ITBs, RFPs, evaluation, negotiation and contract award.
- Prepare purchase orders, contracts and manage vendor creation in Quantum/UNAll.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the Quantum/UNAll procurement system.
- Experience using e‑procurement tools and conducting formal market research.
