Production Engineer – Rolling Mill (Shift Based)

About the role

Amreli Steels Limited is looking for a Production Engineer to join its rolling mill operations on a shift‑based schedule. The role focuses on executing production plans, maintaining quality and safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement in a steel manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute production plans according to SOPs, lean manufacturing principles, and safety regulations.
• Identify and suggest improvements to procedures to boost production efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Oversee smooth operations of the rolling mill, including WHF, rolling mill, and handling areas.
• Supervise daily tasks, assign work to operators, and ensure proper housekeeping.
• Troubleshoot production and maintenance issues and record activities in the log book.
• Assist the immediate supervisor with reporting, data entry, and quality assurance.

Required profile

• BE degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience handling operations in a production department, preferably in steel or rolling mill environments.

Required skills

• Rolling mill operation and WHF handling.
