Project Engineer – Cost Management & Estimation

About the role

ALMA1938, a globally recognised luxury interiors manufacturer, is seeking a Project Engineer specialized in cost management and estimation to join its Pakistan manufacturing team. The role combines technical project engineering with financial oversight, ensuring that bespoke leather, upholstery and interior solutions are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project estimates, cost plans, BOQs and commercial quotations.
• Review architectural, shop drawings and technical specifications to extract accurate material quantities.
• Manage project costing from enquiry through production, delivery and installation.
• Apply value engineering principles to optimise costs while preserving design intent.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, designers, procurement, production and quality teams.
• Update estimates and budgets in response to design changes.
• Conduct site visits to verify measurements and assess technical conditions.
• Monitor budgets, labour costs, material consumption and production progress.
• Analyse estimated versus actual costs and drive continuous cost improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Civil, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design or Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project engineering, cost management, estimation or technical project delivery.
• Proven background in furniture manufacturing, joinery, interior fit‑out, millwork, upholstery or luxury interiors.
