Public Sector Account Executive

About the role

Zones is expanding its Public Sector sales team and seeks a motivated Account Executive to sell IT solutions to government agencies and related organizations. You will receive training on government procurement processes and learn to match customer needs with the company’s portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new sales opportunities in the public sector through cold calling, emailing, networking and referrals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with procurement officers, contract managers, program directors and other key decision‑makers.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals and contracts that highlight the value of Zones’ products and services.
• Negotiate sales terms and close deals while ensuring compliance with public‑sector regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as Marketing, Proposal Development, Product, Delivery and others to meet customer satisfaction and retention goals.
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM system and manage related documentation, including PDFs created or edited with Adobe Acrobat.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment in decision‑making.
• Willingness to learn government procurement processes and public‑sector regulations.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with senior public‑sector officials.

Required skills

• CRM (customer relationship management) tools.
• Adobe Acrobat for creating, editing and reviewing PDF documents.
