Quality Assurance Consultant – Handbag Manufacturing

About the role

Centric Brands is seeking a Quality Assurance Consultant to ensure consistent production quality for its handbag lines. The role involves inspecting products, assessing risks, and collaborating with factories to meet customer standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct timely inspections following SOPs and AQL standards.
• Perform product risk assessments during PPM and line reviews with factory representatives.
• Monitor production plans, track work‑in‑progress, and verify order quantities and on‑time delivery.
• Communicate quality issues promptly, develop solutions with factories, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Issue inspection reports, escalate critical issues, and follow up on CAP implementation.
• Provide training to vendor/factory personnel on customer requirements and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in product quality and update factories on new requirements.
• Oversee factory daily operations, including compliance, internal QC systems, sharp‑tool control, and needle detection.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or technical college diploma.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC, preferably in handbag manufacturing.
• Strong written English proficiency; Mandarin is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate across teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
• In‑depth knowledge of AQL inspection processes.
• Understanding of handbag construction, materials (PU, PVC, Nylon), trims, hardware, and safety requirements.
• Familiarity with handbag manufacturing and quality control systems.
