Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering

About the role

Rehman Habib Consultants (Pvt.) Ltd. (RHC), a multi-disciplinary consultancy covering planning, design and project management for civil engineering and infrastructure, is hiring a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor in Baluchistan, Pakistan. The QS prepares and reviews cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documents, and supports cost control and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documents for civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Monitor project costs, evaluate variations and assist with contract administration.
• Support the preparation of interim payment certificates and final accounts.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and site teams to validate quantities and verify work progress.
• Contribute to risk assessment, maintain accurate records and support reporting for internal and client stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related discipline; professional certifications are an advantage.
• Prior experience in a consulting or construction environment is preferred, with familiarity with local and international standards and codes.
• Ability to work on-site in Baluchistan, including field visits and quantity verification.
• Effective communication with engineers, project managers, site staff and clients.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost estimation and bills of quantities.
• Experience with contract administration, tender documentation and evaluation of variations and claims.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant estimation or QS software.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, materials and local market rates in Pakistan.
• Analytical and numerical abilities, attention to detail and systematic problem solving.
