Quantity Surveyor / Construction Estimator

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor / Construction Estimator to join SparkCraft Estimating remotely. You will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates and quantity take‑offs for a variety of construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed construction cost estimates and quantity take‑offs based on architectural, structural and engineering drawings.
• Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and material quantity schedules.
• Estimate material, labour, equipment and other project costs.
• Analyse project specifications, identify discrepancies and potential cost issues.
• Assist in tender and bid preparation and ensure timely delivery of estimates.
• Maintain organized estimating records and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction estimating or quantity surveying.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and cost structures.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal English communication.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with estimating/take‑off software such as Bluebeam, CostX or PlanSwift.
