Red Hat OpenShift Platform Administrator

About the role

The Red Hat OpenShift Platform Administrator is responsible for deploying, operating, and continuously improving OpenShift environments, including Container Platform, Hosted Control Plane, and Virtualization. The role ensures secure, reliable, and high‑performance operation of containerized applications and virtual workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, administer, and maintain Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and Hosted Control Plane (HCP) environments.
• Perform cluster lifecycle management: upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and maintenance.
• Administer OpenShift Virtualization and manage virtualized workloads.
• Manage Kubernetes resources such as Namespaces, Deployments, StatefulSets, DaemonSets, Services, Routes, Ingresses, and Operators.
• Develop automation solutions using CI/CD, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Implement platform security controls, access and certificate management, and compliance.
• Integrate and manage storage solutions (ODF, Portworx, NFS, SAN) and networking components (DNS, Load Balancers, Ingress Controllers, Routes).
• Provide platform support, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture and Linux system administration.
